Silence is a virtue. To be silent in the face of unwanted advice is a strength, a strength that one can derive pride from. Verbal volleys veiled in unwanted concern are flung at you. The only way to counter them is ignore them. Stand like the stone in Tirumala hill that receives millions of petitions with zero response. Advice will be flying at you from all corners. The most frustrating thing is you should be supplying them with the remaining parts of maxims (they forget) aimed at ridiculing you. You are expected to feel guilty for putting yourself above all. You are supposed to succumb your interests to the will of majority. You are not allowed to stand when others are crawling around you. Precisely, you should not be a man. You must be a parasite or a sacrificial goat. You can be a hyena feasting upon moral responsibilities. You can be an ant which follows the rest of its pack without an idea of what it is upto. But you cannot be a man.
How tough is it to be a man? Here, the man referred to is an embodiment of strength and justice, not the one who runs to the rest room after watching Katrina on screen. It is not difficult if you realize the life you are living is yours. Your family and friends measure you on a metric that has been their code and it need not necessarily coincide with your code of life. It gives you great pleasure to stop crawling and stand up once in your life and say “it is enough”. To all those who may argue that if you crawl, you can atleast cover some distance, but if you stand, you will remain where you are, see what stereotyping has done to you. You fail to consider distance vertically. Vince Lombardi righty says, “I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle – victorious”.
There may be many people who hamper your march towards manhood. They strike you with force in the beginning. If you don`t budge, they resort to faking your concern and well being. If that does not do, they question your morality. It is like hijras pouncing upon you with a grudge that you are not one of them. They demand money from you for the fact that you are potent. Similarly, the impotent society expects you to be inert in your pursuit of your goals just because the society has reconciled itself to mediocrity.

P.S.1 I don`t work for money. I work for myself.
P.S.2 My father`s sister`s husband`s brother`s daughter`s father`s brother-in-law is a bureaucrat. It is not a reason for me to jack off.
P.S.3 Vaadu Veedu deserves some space on my blog.
P.S.4. 180 is lucky to get the second worst movie of my viewing career.Love today steals the first place.
